NORTH BRANCH— An announcement has been made of the resignation of long time North Branch Area School Board member Donna Setter.

Setter was appointed to the board in September of 1989 and served students, staff and the community for over 21 years. The announcement posted on the district’s Web site stated that “Setter takes with her a wisdom of public school issues that will be very difficult to replace.” She did not give a reason for the resignation.

She will be recognized at the Feb. 11 school board meeting.

Application for replacement will be posted on Feb. 9 with the deadline for applying Feb. 28. Applicants will be screened on March 4 and interviewed on March 11.

The appointment will be announced on March 18 and the individual will take their seat on the board at the regular meeting on April 8.
